Gelato has become a very popular indica-dominant (70%) strain recently. It is a cross of the fruity indica Sunset Sherbet strain and the Thin Mints pheno-type of GSC, a.k.a. Girl Scout Cookies.
Indoor flowering will take 8 – 9 weeks with yields potentially in excess of 400 gr/m2. Gelato has a penetrating, sweet scent and it is recommended to use carbon filters in this environment. Outdoors growers with experience can obtain more than 650 gr/plant and northern hemisphere growers will be ready to harvest their crop towards the end of September. Buds are relatively small but dense and hard like small rocks. They are a dark green colour with some lovely purple colourations and decorated with orange pistils.
Gelato has a deliciously sweet sherbet flavour with blueberry and orange notes. THC levels can vary between 20 – 25% with low CBD at just 0.26%. Its heavily indica-dominance makes it a relaxing strain for evenings and lazy days when you have no pressing plans or work to do.
